We’re back home and settling in after a beautiful tour supporting Glaswegian rock legends, The Vaselines. For this trip we joined forces with Portland music impressario Ritchie Young’s band, Loch Lomond for sold out shows down the west coast, including Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles. About mid way through the Vaselines’ set on the tour’s concluding show at the Roxy in LA we all jumped up on stage for “Molly’s Lips” (see above) for a sing-a-long dance party. We’ve found one of the many great pleasures of touring is getting a chance to form new friendships and lasting bonds with musicians outside of our normal circle. Frances Mckee, Eugene Kelly and the rest of the Vaselines were sweet, inspiring and hilarious at every turn. We look forward to future shows with them on their home-turf: Scotland!
In other glorious news–
As you may or may not already know, Swansea’s very own Kyleen King recently provided viola and backup vocals on the recent Decemberists Capital Records release, “What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World”. If you are interested in purchasing a copy (and you should, it’s gorgeous) click HERE.
That’s all for now! As always, please check back often for sundries and miscellany 😉
